KART PIHLAP

Artist · Composer · Producer · Flutist

Debut album coming spring 2027

Bio

Kärt Pihlap is an Estonian artist, composer, singer and producer whose work explores the space between order and chaos. Her music moves between jazz, classical and world traditions, blending acoustic and electronic soundscapes into immersive, reflective listening.

She grew up with the flute, studying classical flute and then jazz flute at the Tallinn Music and Ballet School MUBA, alongside composition, bansuri and voice. She went on to music production and now studies Recording Arts at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.

Her recognitions include Best Young Instrumentalist and the Young Composer Award for “Sõltuvus”. In 2025 her duo Kuula Hetke received the Etnokulp Award for Best Debut Album of the Year. She has performed with artists such as Richard Bona and Jon Hopkins.

Now she steps forward as a lead singer with her own band, writing, composing and producing every song herself. Her aim is to build spaces where listeners can pause, breathe and reconnect through sound.
